OSCAR is able to manage multiple backups, and recognizes operating systems, such as Linux and Windows. It automatically installs his boot loader. It can also deploy a whole set of computers from a backup model.

The accompanying service associated with OSCAR is part of public service. The « CRDP de l'académie de Lyon » recommends this software to schools. This software is in use in the majority of high schools and colleges of the academy.
Active cooperation with local government (the department of the Rhone, and the Ain ...) is underway. It allows wide dissemination of OSCAR with teachers and students who are, ultimately, the primary beneficiaries of this tool.

Tools such as Oscar is valuable for teachers and students: these free tools allow people who lack of technical skills to manage a set of computer. They also encourage the adoption of open source solutions.

The accompanying service team is fully involved in the open source community. Those people regularly participate since several years to the promotion of open source software by beeing pressent in public meeting such as « Educatice », « RMLL », « solutions linux », or « JRES » ...
